Migratory Bird Watching Lesson for Novices & Experts :: April 2nd, at Onondaga Park ~ Liverpool, NY

This RSS feed came to my attention from the calendar of events at Liverpool Public Library:

Event Type: All Ages
Date: 4/2/2011
Start Time: 9:30 AM
End Time: 11:00 AM
Description:
Meet at the Salt Museum

The ducks are due! Library staff member Alan NaPier will meet you at the Salt Museum in Onondaga Lake Park to have a look at migrating waterfowl. Mergansers, grebes, gulls, geese, and various kinds of ducks are some of the things we might see. Bring binoculars if you have them. The library will have a few spare pairs and a telescope to share. Alan is an experienced birdwatcher and a former Beaver Lake naturalist.

Presenter: Alan NaPier

It looks like fun.

Oh, and by the way…no matter where you live be sure to support your local library. Check out a book, contact your representatives about how important your library is, and check with your local branch about volunteering. Special kudos to anyone who does all three!
