Private Land Owners Getting Aid to Expand Habitat for Migrating Birds

Missouri Beginning Farming: USDA to Help Farmers and Ranchers Expand Habitat for Migrating Birds.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is making money available for private land owners in Missouri and other states to expand the habitat needed for migratory birds as they make their way to the Gulf Coast.  This expansion is intended to help the migratory birds to build up energy reserves as they head to the Gulf to face the degraded habitat there.

To find out more visit NRCS at their website.  Funds will be available until August 1st.
